Sub-editor
Ashley is the youngest member of the Fitted-In Project's team, but highly valued. A philosophy student and opponent of the death penalty with editing skills, which she picked up editing college publications, those skills have proved invaluable to us, especially in the presentation of articles pamphlets and books.
Ashley has had a variety of experience both with campaigning against issues of social justice and editing work. Working with the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty for one year, she teamed up with many other organizations to stand up for Kansans, arguing for a more efficient justice system.
As the President of the Wichita State College Democrats, she highlighted the plight of murdered African-American members of her community. She was an editor for her college newspaper, which included sub-editing students’ articles for the publication. Her own original work was published in the publication as well. Her experience as an English tutor included sub-editing theses for Master's Degree students. She also helped students improve their English in many ways.
Ashley is currently a student of Wichita State University in Kansas, and is studying Philosophy. She plans to begin her Master’s Degree in the fall of 2011, and then continue her career in public policy work. She is a welcome addition to the Fitted-In Project's team. |
